Creating an account is easy:

1. Click the "Register" button in the top-right corner of the homepage
2. Enter your preferred username, email address, and password
3. Click "Register" to create your account
4. Check your email for a verification link and click it to activate your account
5. Once verified, you can log in and start building your profile

New users receive 50 tokens upon registration to help you get started!

To edit your profile:

1. Log in to your SkillSwap account
2. Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner
3. Select "Edit Profile" from the dropdown menu
4. Make the desired changes to your profile information
5. Click "Save Changes" to update your profile

You can update your name, bio, profile picture, and other personal information from this page. Remember that a complete profile increases trust and makes you more likely to receive skill exchange requests!

If you've forgotten your password:

1. Go to the login page
2. Click on the "Forgot Password?" link
3. Enter the email address associated with your account
4. Check your email for a password reset link
5. Follow the link and enter a new password

For security reasons, password reset links expire after 24 hours. If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or contact support for assistance.

To add a skill you can teach:

1. Log in to your account
2. Go to your dashboard
3. Click the "Create Skill" button
4. Fill out the skill form with a title, description, token amount, category, and availability
5. Click "Save Skill" to publish it

Be specific about what you're offering, your expertise level, and how you'll deliver the skill (online or in-person). The clearer your skill description, the more likely you are to receive requests.

To request a skill from another user:

1. Browse or search for skills you're interested in learning
2. Click on a skill to view its details
3. Click the "Request Skill" button
4. Confirm your request (the token amount will be temporarily reserved from your balance)

After submitting your request, the skill provider will receive a notification. They can accept or decline your request. If accepted, you'll be able to arrange the details of the skill exchange through our messaging system.

After the skill exchange is completed:

1. Go to your dashboard
2. Navigate to the "Transactions" tab
3. Find the completed transaction
4. Click the "Add Review" button
5. Rate the experience (1-5 stars) and write your review
6. Submit your review

Honest, constructive reviews help build trust within our community. Focus on the quality of the skill exchange, communication, and overall experience.

SkillSwap uses tokens as an internal currency for skill exchanges:

• New users receive 50 tokens upon registration
• Pro subscribers receive 25 additional tokens monthly
• You earn tokens by teaching others your skills
• You spend tokens by learning skills from others
• Each skill provider sets their own token price based on complexity, duration, and expertise
• Tokens are transferred when a skill exchange is completed

This system encourages a balance of teaching and learning within the community. The more you contribute by teaching, the more you can learn from others.

Your token balance is displayed in several places:

• In the top navigation bar when you're logged in
• On your dashboard
• On your profile page
• In the "Tokens" section of your account settings

You can also view your token transaction history, including earnings and spendings, in the "Tokens" section of your account.

When setting token prices for your skills, consider:

• The complexity and depth of the skill
• The time commitment required (both preparation and delivery)
• Your expertise level
• Market rates for similar skills on the platform
• The value you're providing to learners

As a general guideline:

• 10-20 tokens: Basic skills, short sessions (30 minutes)
• 20-40 tokens: Intermediate skills, medium sessions (30-60 minutes)
• 40-100 tokens: Advanced skills, longer sessions or multiple sessions

You can always adjust your prices based on demand and feedback.
